Turweston Wings & Wheels 2010

For the last 10 years Turweston Aerodrome has hosted an annual Vintage and Classic Day. Conceived and run by volunteer members of the Vintage Aircraft Club (VAC) the day had grown from a fly-in for vintage aircraft enthusiasts to a much larger event. There will be car boot sales, traders selling vintage and classic books and other products, country market stalls, lots of fantastic cars, bikes and aeroplanes and (hopefully) a surprise fly-past. The Sunbeam Motorcycle Owners Club will once again be in attendance with their marvellous pre-1915 bikes. The Owners travel from Stratford-Upon-Avon to Turweston for their September challenge - no mean feat on these really old machines! The airfield is a great setting for the event with the benefit of hard and grass runways, ample parking for visitors and exhibitors alike, well-maintained landscaped areas.

For more information prospective exhibitors and visitors can visit the TFC website at www.turwestonflight.com where they can read a wrap-up note to the 2009 event and request information about 2010. Alternatively TFC can be telephoned on 01280 705400 or emailed at info@turwestonflight.com.
